Root Master & Lineage Holder
H.E. Choden Rinpoche was a accomplished scholar-yogi, master of debate, and holder of the Lamrim lineage. Trained under Tibet's greatest masters, his lifelong dedication to practice, wisdom, and compassion remains the eternal guide and root source for our community's teachings.
Master
Spiritual Head of Awakening Vajra International and Abbot of Lama Gaun Monastery, Gyalten Khen Rinpoche is a Geshe Lharampa scholar and primary 'heart son' to H.E. Choden Rinpoche. He actively carries forward his guru's vision through meditation guidance, Dharma teachings, and global humanitarian projects.
Resident Guru
Director of the Sera Jey Science Centre, Geshe Aadup is a Tibetan Buddhist monk and scholar trained at Sera Jey Monastery. Having earned his prestigious Geshe degree and studied tantric Buddhism, he bridges traditional philosophical wisdom with advanced modern scientific research and contemplative inquiry.
About the Center
Awakening Vajra Nusantara serves as a center for Vajrayana study and practice, reaching members both online and at our gathering space in Jakarta. Since our founding, we have held regular assemblies, teachings, and retreats guided by H.E. Choden Rinpoche and Gyalten Khen Rinpoche, welcoming newcomers and long-time practitioners alike.
